PMS- Pretty much screwed
" Whats wrong? " he asked "NOTHING!" she said, this picture is pretty much how the last week of every month starts, her monthly flow has turned her beautiful smile into a witches snarl, you've never been this wrong in your life, she's aggravated by the smallest thing, her stomach cramps are so bad she's clutching the painkillers with a grip that will hurt the Hulk, you have to do something, you can't stand there and just watch her reel in pain for the next 5 days, you need to help her, comfort her?! but where do you start?
Well Calm your farm! I'm glad you asked, here's Dom's top foods and tips to help her get through PMS, now bare in mind the physical benefits of these foods are small and some only provide comfort but hey she'll love you more after this week is done and remember ...even Superman had to deal with Louise Lane's mensies right?
1. Chocolate
This is a no-brainer, chocolate in any form provides comfort, its cacoa (KAKOWW) properties ensure the brain releases endorphins and those pleasure pulses make every bite of the stuff magical, chocolate is available everywhere but good chocolate (90% pure cacoa) is only available in selected stores
2. Cranberries
Cranberries actually contain chemical properties that help the relief of cramps in the stomach! Cranberry juice, dried cranberries, all available at your local fruit and nut store
3. Junk food
Now I would never recommend this to anyone, beyond the trans-fats, overpriced menu's, filtered ingredients, it provides a sort of guilty-pleasure to woman during this week, let them spoil themselves and eat what they want
4. Alanis Morisette
It might not be food, but "I'm a bitch , I'm a lover" is the songs that can soothe any woman's burning desire for murder, see also, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift and
5. Coffee
Coffee not just Ricoffy, but really good coffee, coffee is known to calm, energize and focus, also its just one of the many things woman seem to really really enjoy, the best coffee in Cape Town is at TRUTH.
6.Hot Water Bottle!
Warm that belly up! this will ease up the cramps and the excruciating feeling of the wall shedding that she is going through, bonus points if its a furry bear or some heart shaped little creature.
Now go forth and conquer that week!! Never again will you be shouted at from the couch, Never again will you have your TV remote taken away, Never again will you have to " rub her tummy"whilst getting questioned about why your phone has a password on it .*wink, well at least not until next month.
